Ricky

We adopted Ricky about two months ago.  My son who is 12 re-named him Max.  He is such a wonderful addition to our family.  We have two other dogs in which he gets along with well.  He liked to chase the cat at first but now they have an understanding.  We have nothing negative to say about him.  He is adorable and we love him so much!  My son had recently lost a dog and was having a hard time with it so we decided to visit your adoption center to just look at the dogs and Max was waiting for us.

I have attached a few pictures.

Thanks

Karen

Poncherello

This is Tracy and John.

We just wanted to give an update on our adoption of "poncherello," whom we adopted in January. His new name is Jerry Sloan, (after the long-time NBA coach of the Utah Jazz). He has fit in quite nicely with our family and we absolutely adore him. As you can see from the pictures; he's quite smiley. Thanks again.

Britches!

I would like to tell you about the great experience I had adopting Britches from Homeward Pet. I had been aware of Homeward Pet but really learned more after my co-worker, Kay, visited your facility and was very impressed.

I found your staff to be knowledgeable and caring. They did a great job explaining Britches history, the medical care he was given, and listened to my concerns about adopting a cat that had been raised in a hoarder home. I appreciated their patience and the discussions we had. They gave me advice and ideas on the best way to introduce Britches to his new home and to our dog.

I was very pleased to learn that Britches already had a microchip since this was something I knew I needed to do but you saved me the time and expense.

I used the certificate for the free office visit at my veterinarian’s office and they confirmed he is healthy. This is a wonderful thing to offer your customers as it just becomes another form of confirmation that he is healthy.

This is the first time I have adopted a cat and I could not be happier or more impressed with Homeward Pet. I am still amazed at the care, medical attention and information you provide for each animal. It is truly a great service!

Britches is doing great in his new home and he is very well loved!

Sincerely,

Kellie

Obie!

I adopted "Obie" and he is just too wonderful!! He has made himself totally at home and believe it or not I can wear him out playing ball. When he needs a rest he takes the ball and sits under a tree until he's ready for another go at it.

He's been to the vet for his visit and went to the beauty parlor, so a lot of the undercoat was removed. He is truly a beautiful dog and I feel so blessed that he now has a home with me. I've attached a picture of him and of course he turned his head at the last minute but you can see the rest of him.

Thanks again.

"Wilson" from Cast Away...

I have owned a number of dogs and was looking for the right fit together. I more than found my best bud!

I adopted "Wilson" on 3/27 so I we have been "hanging out" for a week now. I named him Wilson from the movie "Cast Away" with Tom Hanks. Seemed perfect as I live on an island and Wilson was left behind by someone.

Although he is only about 10 months old, I don't think I could have found a better behaved dog. It is just the two of us and the bonding was instant. He was house trained and I have never had an "incident" in our home. Wilson is very playful, loves people, "exploring" some of the trails where I live, yet can be calm and peaceful too. I am amazed at how quickly he acclimated to his new home and to me.

I believe that good things in people's (and animal's) lives do not come by accident. I don't think I could have found a better match. My friends and family are extremely amazed at how we have not only bonded but also about the amazing nature of Wilson. He doesn't bark, lets me know when he needs to go out for a while and can keep up a good run longer than I can! He is only 14 lbs but packed full of all that one would desire in a dog/companion. He has had no anxiety in his transition and impressed the vet on his second check up. He has also made many new friends at the pet stores, my neighborhood and at the vet clinic.

A big thanks to all the people at Homeward Pet for being so professional and taking such great care of the animals they have in their transition. I have never seen such a professional and caring group of people! Animals are important and so are people. We both got the royal treatment.

Wilson and I could never express our total appreciation for all you have done!

Kindest regards,

KJ and Wilson

Slim Jim!

We love him!!! This is a picture of him sitting in one of his favorite spots of the house, overlooking our property which has lots of birds and deer that feed on a salt block right in our front lawn. We renamed him Beppi, he has so much character and as you mentioned very much a teenager. Beppi enjoys chasing us as we go up and down the stairs, playing with any toy that has a feather and morning breakfast and brushing. He sleeps with us in our bed at night, but the book you gave us Laurel, thank you again, told us he should have his very own bed. You are right, that book is a bible for cats.

Max and I want to let you know that you have made getting Beppi a wonderful adoption experience. We really appreciated your expertise on cats and everything you said about Beppie's personality held true. We will keep you posted on his progress and send more pics.

Warmest regards, Teresa
