Cricket

Cricket remembers how you helped her find us.

Thank you Homeward Pet!

Reggae & Della (now Sammi & Anny)

The moment I first saw Della's picture on the Homeward Pet home site, I was taken in immediately. She was adopted in January of 2010, and renamed to Anny. She is as advertised - a natural purring machine. Anny is thriving well as an indoor cat who longs for her daily outdoor walks on the leash with her leading and pulling her human at full speed to areas of movement, smell, and arousement. To maintain her level of interest with fresh air, she's been provided access to the upper balcony with multi-level perches attached to the house siding. Indoors she has access to a 7ft cat tree overseeing the outdoor bird feeder and squirrels for her added entertainment. She tolerates her grooming time and nail trimming if done quickly.

Reggae was adopted in February of 2014, we have renamed him Sammi. To help make a successful introduction between Sammi and our resident cat Anny, we followed the process steps from the book 'Think Like a Cat' provided by Homeward Pet. That process paid off. Through Sammi's persistence to be her friend, he dedicates much of his time shadowing Anny's every move with just enough separation that seems to be working. We are starting to see Anny become more engaging to Sammi's approach. No doubt, Sammi's charm will prevail as it has with each one of us, with his weaving in and out of our legs, along with the many Sammi antics of play and friendliness that characterize him as one of the sweetest cats we have encountered. He makes us smile every day when watching him pursue his curiosities, utilizing the 7 foot cat tree, run and skid on the hardwood floors, appear suddenly at the sound of a food can, Anny chasing Sammi, Sammi chasing Anny, and knowing that we now have a "superstar" as part of the family.

Rusty (now Remi)

Last month Rusty came home with us, and he has wonderfully blended into our family. Rusty also has a new name – REMI.  We all like that name much better for him and he took to it right away.

At first, he and our other dog Pippin did not really play much, but now it is hard to get them apart!  They play first thing in the morning, and then throughout the day. Pippin will sometimes just lay down and let Remi go all over him, and we always make sure that things stay gentle…and they do.

We are enjoying him and we know that he is now a full fledged member of our family!

Tango (now Leo)

Leo, aka Tango, is doing just fine. He moved right in on day one.

He is now starting to explore the house and has seen our dogs, he watches them from the balcony while they watch him. He loves everyone and had adapted easily. He is an attention hog and very playful.

Tesla

We are so happy with our adorable puppy, Tesla. She has the sweetest personality and we get so much joy from her every day. She's healthy, happy, and growing fast - she has already gained 2 lbs since we got her! She is the biggest snuggle bug by day, and a crazy hyper puppy by night.

Adopting Tesla is the best decision we have ever made. Thanks for bringing us together with our cute little girl!

Daisy Mae

Daisy Mae, the 8 lb white mini poodle we adopted on Jan 2nd, is doing well here with her new family and canine friends. She is so good and so smart and we just love her!

Jynx (now Sherman)

Just wanted to let you know Jynx is doing great. He is now Sherman and is fitting in very well. He is a perfect fit for us, we love him and he seems to really love us too. Thank you so much Homeward Pet!

Kizzee

My wife and I thought you would like to know that we are no longer the owners of this house, Kizzee is!

He is doing just fine and has quickly remembered that HE is #1 around here. Great appetite, bright eyed, and bushy tailed. We are loving him so much.

Camo

Camo is an amazing boy, gaining on average three pounds a week, smart, loving, and a bit goofy!

He will be seven months old on the 19th and weighs 62lb and still loves nothing more than to jump up in my lap and cuddle. He is loved beyond belief!

Simon

We adopted Simon a few weeks ago and he has settled in well. We are trying to get his weight down, and he has lost 1/2 lb so far. He is quite relaxed and doesn't move around much - and we figured out that he has some arthritis in several joints and we are treating him for that, too.

He is super sweet and loves belly rubs. He has a cat tree in the window and chatters at the local birds at the feeder. We love him!

Lacy

We are loving Lacy and Lacy is loving her new family - our sweet little tiny lap dog!

Thank you so much Homeward Pet!

Gracie

Thank you so much for letting Gracie come home with me. She is such a sweetheart.

She has already had a calming effect on Buddy. She picked her spot on the bed and settled in like she had been here forever. I love her so much, her calm nature is very soothing to Buddy and even to me.

Mac

We adopted Mac in February of this year 2014.

Mac has been a great addition to the family and he fits right in. We have been searching for a long time for a second dog and Mac was available at the right time. We just love him so much and he is such a snuggler.

Sushi & Godzilla

They are such happy boys and they play together ALL the time. :)

AJ (now Mira) & Milo

Our two Homeward Pet dogs Mira (AJ) and Milo are already great friends. Mira sleeps on the floor with Milo because he can't make it up onto the couch with everyone else yet and cries if he's the only dog on the floor.

Sadie

Sadie has been in our home for almost 2 months now, and we couldn't have found a more perfect dog! We feel so lucky to have found this beautiful girl - she is so loving and cuddly.

Thanks to Homeward Pet for letting us take this older gal home, she has totally transformed our lives already!

Buddy (now Benny)

Hello to all at Homeward Pets –

“Benny” (note we have changed Buddy’s name) is doing very well and is adjusting to us and our home perfectly, as you can see in the attached photos. He is the most adorable little guy – he loves watching the humming birds at the feeder on the kitchen deck and since he is so small, he fits on all our window sills so he can see the world outside. Even though he is declawed he has a wonderful disposition and does not bite, and he loves to cuddle and knead at bedtime and in the morning, which I love too.

Thanks for rescuing this wonderful fellow so that we could find him and give him a forever home.

Noir (now Dory)

Noir (now named DORY to go with NEMO) is loving her new home.

Arnold

I wanted to let you know that we absolutely LOVE our new dog, Arnold. He is so mellow and sweet. He is finally relaxed and enjoying his new home.

Moose

Dereck and I just wanted to write and thank you for bringing us together with Moose.

From day one, it seemed as if he had always been a necessary part of our family. We can't imagine life without him. He is an absolute joy - the most loving, cuddly, affectionate dog that either of us have ever experienced. We love taking him for long walks and runs, and everyone he meets remarks on how sweet and beautiful he is. Our favorite part of every day is when we can all cuddle on the couch together - no matter how much fun Moose is having playing with his toys or eating a bone, as soon as we both sit down on the couch he runs over and snuggles into whatever spot allows him to be closest to us.

We can't thank you enough for being part of bringing Moose into our lives!
