Happy Tails: Hugs from Zion and Scout (formerly Moses and Brandi)

Hi Homeward Family,

We are so happy with our two sweet pups!  Thank you for taking loving care of them until they came to our forever home.  We adopted Zion (was Moses) a little over a year ago, and after volunteering at the shelter we fell in love with Scout (was Brandi) and adopted her three months ago.  These dogs were meant for each other and for our family!  At the shelter, we hear that Zion was quite the handful … but with thanks to his wonderful trainer Melissa, he has been a calm, gentle, well-mannered dog in our home.  Still very active, he is always up for a long run with Rob!  We were expecting that we would have to be a “one dog” family due to Zion’s zealous play style, but when we tried Scout with him they seemed like the perfect match.  Zion takes care of Scout, helps teach her things, and they play nicely together.  It was cute to see him show her all around.  He is the big brother looking out for his little sister.  Zion seems happy to have a friend with him all of the time.  Scout is a very affectionate, cuddly dog who may be younger and smaller, but can “hold her own” with Zion.  We think it’s so cute when she jumps on our laps when we watch TV and cuddles with us.  We love it when we come home from work and Scout walks up to us all excited with her adorable “waggle” and happy tail.  Scout visits Doggy Daycare a few days a week, and everyone there loves her and thinks she has such good social skills with the other dogs.  Both Zion and Scout continue to have training, and we are so happy with the progress they have made.  We love, love, love these two dogs!
