Fig

As you can see, Fig has settled in really well. She is an absolute delight, and her inquisitive side is really coming out. She loves to snuggle, and we are so lucky to have been able to give her a forever home.

Thank you Lindsey and the adoption team for your help and letting us bring her home.

Chuck (now Mako)

On June 23 we met Chuck, a one year old border collie mix. Since adopting him, we've renamed him Mako (rhymes with taco). He was so happy and loving when we first met him, even though he had just been neutered and was still groggy from surgery. We knew that he was the one for us instantly.

He has been such a joy to have. He loves to play fetch, swim, chase anything that moves, and play with other dogs at the dog park. He is so smart and quick to train. He knows all the commands now (sit, down, off, stay, leave it, come, and this way) and loves to please. He's also a HUGE love bug - any opportunity to cuddle he will take.

We love him dearly and are so happy we found him at Homeward Pet. The adoption process was smooth and simple. Thank you for helping us find him!

Domino (now Dee)

Just wanted to let the good people at Homeward Pet know, Domino loves her new home. She is doing great! We call her Dee now. She now has a home for life and we would never let her go!

Thanks to everyone.

Dixie (now Lily)

Here is an update on Dixie (now renamed Lily) settling in at our house. For the first few days of her being in our home, she kept looking at us as if she thought she was dreaming. She adores Vincent - he is HER boy.

She LOVES walks!! Can't get enough of them, and goes with such enthusiasm, tail wagging the whole way. She is getting three walks a day. We think the excess weight will come off in no time at this rate.

As of the last time we weighed her about a week and a half ago, Lily has slimmed down to 27 pounds. She is more spry and energetic at the lower weight; we're shooting to help her drop a few more pounds at our vets advice. She's responding well to the training through Doggy Haven, and she is integrating well with the cats and even the rabbit.

It's great to see her getting more confident, more relaxed, and happier. She is a very sweet girl and everyone who meets her pretty much falls in love instantly.

Casey & Ruddy (now MiG & Buster)

It has been five years since I adopted my cats, MiG and Buster (they were called Casey and Ruddy at Homeward Pet). They are inseparable and a joy to our family. Each has unique personalities. The staff member at Homeward Pet talked me in to adopting Buster, the orange cat, telling me that she knew we would be a great match. And boy was she right, Buster follows me around and sticks to me like glue. Both are great cats!

Mochi

I am so thankful that I adopted Mochi. I was initially worried that she was too shy -- especially since we didn't take her into a visiting room and I wasn't sure how she'd react once I brought her home -- but I couldn't walk away from her purr.

Mochi was up on my bed her first night home, ready for a short snuggle and she has been affectionate ever since. She loves laying in the window and watching the birds, playing with wand toys, and searching for treats I hide around the house. She also needs multiple doses of petting and purring and cuddling each day and I am happy to oblige. I adore her.

Koda

Just wanted to thank you for Koda. He has been a great addition to our family and is a joy to have. Maxwell was really missing his other buddy, but now that Koda has come into his life he is a much happier cat.

Thank you again!

Chase (now Monte)

I adopted Chase (now Monte) about a month ago. He is the best dog for us and belongs in our family.

He loves his belly rubs and will nip at your toes so he can get your attention. He is definitely a mommas boy and loves to cuddle.

Thank you!

Pepper Ann (now Porsche)

My husband and I adopted Porsche on August 30. She has adapted to our family very well and is a wonderful dog. We love her so much and could not be happier with the adoption.

Your staff that assisted us with the adoption was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.

Porsche was a little shy at first, but quickly relaxed and enjoys running in our fenced in backyard, using the dog door to go in and out of the house, and loves going on walks.

Thank you for making our family complete!

Nora

I just wanted to shoot a message to you regarding Nora, who I adopted two days ago.

She is settling in really well. She is absolutely the sweetest cat ever, we already love her so much.

Corbin (now Princess Corbin Scruffilina the 1st)

Ninety days ago, our lives were brightened with the addition of Corbin, now Princess Corbin Scruffilina the First. From the moment we saw her, tail wagging and eyes bright with hope, we knew she would be a vital part of our family. While definitely a "Papa's girl," her affection to her Mama and Nice Lady (Papa's Mom) has been a blessing.

We wish to thank Homeward Pet for their continued support of helping pets find their forever homes.
