Hello,
I am so happy you emailed us! Simon is doing great in his new home! He is a completely different cat now that he is comfortable in his new home. He is very vocal and affectionate, also loves to play. My kids are really good with him and he has become my seven year olds new best friend. My other cats are getting along really well with him too. He loves to eat so we have to make sure that he is not over eating. We have taken him to the vet and besides an ear infection in both ears he has a clean bill of health!
Thank You,
Desiree Wright

Daisy update
Hello -
Just wanted to send you some photos of Daisy and let you know she is doing well. We've had a visit to the vet, and she is all set with flee pills and will soon get a teeth cleaning. She is meeting new dog friends and trying to learn how to jog well on a leash. We are all happy she is now part of our home.
Take care,
Courtney

Clairabelle
Thank you and Homeward Pet for giving us the opportunity to adopt Clairabelle, now known as Bella. She is a very sweet little girl and is adjusting very well after spending a lot of time under the bed the first few days. She is very affectionate and loving, but also enjoys playin with all of her toys, especially her feather "fishing pole" toy. Sitting by our back window is another of her favorite things to do, there are tons of birds and other wildlife on our hill. We love her already, thank you for saving her, she will have a great life with us.
Your shelter and the people working there are awesome!

Mango and Apricot
Hello,
We adopted Mango and Apricot in 2007 from homeward pet. They were both just babies then. Mango and Apricot were the perfect match for our home. Mango and Apricot do not get very far from each other. Mango is the friendliest cat and loves everyone. Apricot has to get to know you first before she becomes your best friend.
Marty (a/k/a Pandora) update
She's still a little aloof with new people, but getting better. She's figuring out the routine of the house - she now knows what "let's go outside" means and is first to the back door, and finally mastered sit (she was easily distracted during training classes), and does it on her own before getting her food or treats. She goes in her crate with no fuss when I'm leaving the house, so I think she was used to that prior. Now that we've got "sit" down, we're going to start working on some new skills - leave it, down, wait, and go to your bed are next.
The old dogs are starting to chase her around a little, and the cat has gone from completely ticked off to starting to stalk her, though still hissing and growling the whole time. Yesterday, Loki (the cat) and Marty sat on the couch with me together, one on each side, so great progress there. We love her to bits, this crazy tiny intruder. We may not have been planning to this, but I'm so glad we did it! Thank you for the all the help!

Dante the Chug
We adopted Dante (formerly known as Regis) at the beginning of April from Homeward Pet. Timid and quiet at first, we had no idea what wonderful surprises he had in store for us! He has blossomed over the past few weeks and is definitely no longer timid!! He rules the dog park, engages with all the dogs there, and loves to run laps with dogs that are 4 times his size. Everyone loves him at the dog park, and we go often. "D" is playful, loving, and loyal. He loves going on walks along the trails that surround our apartment! Being outside is one of his favorite things, especially with all the fantastic weather lately! At his Essential Manners class, he acquired not one, but two girlfriends, and also beat his intial "sit" score (how many times he could "sit" in one minute) by 11 sits on graduation day! We were so excited and proud of him!
We are very honored to have him as part of our family. He is doing very well, and absolutely loves his new friend, Bruno Taters, my sister's dog who recently relocated up here to Seattle from Phoenix. Dante and Bruno are the best of friends!
Thank you to Homeward Pet for all of your love and support when it comes to caring for these dogs. Dante was very well taken care of when we adopted him, and his first visit to the vet was a success. We look forward to continue to be a part of your community and supporting the wonderful work that you do. Thank you again!
Sincerely,
Katie
