Here is a picture of "Ruby" - now named Dolce (Italian for "sweet"), with her new best friend and "mama," Kenda. We adore Dolce, and she is doing very well - she gained about four pounds the first month! Our veternarian says she will most likely be about 40-45 pounds. She is a healthy, energetic pup. We're still working on a few bathroom training issues, but other than that, she is a wickedly smart little girl, and trains very easily. She responds to consistent and loving instruction, and she has a great role model in our two-year-old dog, Kenda.
 
Kenda and Dolce are wonderful playmates. Kenda is a lab/Italian greyhound mix, and loves to run. Dolce, lab/blue heeler, LOVES to chase and "herd" Kenda. We take them to a large field near our house and let them play to their heart's content. It's a joy to watch.
 
Our family feels complete with Dolce with us. Kenda has become so much more balanced and serene since Dolce came home. She curl ups with Dolce and grooms her obvious affection. Dolce returns the favor. They wrestle and share chew toys; often teasing each other in a keep-away game. They are a perfect match!
