King (now Kaizen)

I wanted to give you an update on "King", the pit/boxer cross whom we adopted last month. We have changed his name to Kaizen, or Kai for short (Kaizen = the Japanese philosophy of continuous improvement).

Kai is an amazing dog who learns quickly and with a great attitude. He is very focused but not reactive. Friendly and adventurous. He has fit into our family really well. He and our other dogs and cat are getting along nicely, and we are maintaining stringent management protocol to keep it that way.

Some of Kai's new skills are:
Eye contact on cue, name response, "leave it" for objects and animals, crating, ex-penning, loose leash walking, sit, down (including at a distance), recalls at 50 yards, recalls away from animals, wait, back-it-up, riding well in the car, friendly vet exams, retrieving to hand, and calm response to fireworks.  He is learning to get his nails trimmed and teeth brushed, etc. He is doing great!

We love him very much and feel very lucky to have found him at Homeward Pet!

Ty (now Spencer)

I just wanted to send you a note to thank you for giving me such a wonderful gift. He has added so much love and laughter to my life, as well as the lives of my boyfriend and 12 y.o. dog daughter.

He is incredibly well behaved, he's talkative, and he sticks to me like glue (he must always be touching me when we sleep). He has such a dainty English manner that Spencer was the only name that truly fit him as the English gentleman he is.

Thanks again! RESCUE ON!

Honey

I’m sending you pictures of Honey, our little Chiweenie we adopted last month. She is doing very well and loves playing with Lucy, her mini dachshund sister.

We love her!

Izzy

She likes the top of the pillow so she can see outside.

We are both adjusting well!

Ginger

We love the new addition to our family, Ginger. The adoption process was very easy and we both got what we needed...a forever home for both Ginger and us. I would recommend, and have recommended Homeward Pet to anyone whose is looking for a great companion.

Thank you, Homeward Pet, for completing or family!

Westley

Westley is doing great and we're so please to have him in our home. Thanks!

Juice (now Huckleberry)

Juice, the kitten I adopted is now named Huckleberry and he's doing great. Here he is with Hannah, his new pal, who is the same age he is and who loves to play with him!

Thanks for everything!
