Just wanted to share a current picture of a Homeward Alum that I'm sure many fellow cat volunteers will recognize - Thelma! Adopted in 2006 (by my grandma), she's about 17 years old now and doing really well!

Janet (now Ellie)
Thought you would enjoy a picture of my happy Ellie (aka Janet), whom we adopted as a scruffy pup back in July. She is such an amazing companion, joyous and funny - we cannot imagine life without her now!

Coraline (now Daisy Mae)
I had the pleasure of meeting Daisy Mae (Coraline) a few weeks ago. I knew when I saw her on the website I just had to at least meet her.
Once at Homeward, I spotted her the second I went past the aisle. I got up to her cage and amongst all the dogs jumping around and saying hello, she sat there patiently and stared straight at me for a good minute. Her history was unknown with cats, so I hesitated on taking her home right then. The staff I was working with said to check in late in the afternoon the next day, and if she was still available I could come pick her up for a two day foster situation to see if she would get along with my kitty.
The next day I got to come pick her up. I had no idea what to expect as there was no information about her past life. I wasn't even sure she was house broken. I got her home and she showed me how much of a doll she is. Excellent manners, great with the cat (the sleep together) and just a total sweety all the way around. I am so glad we were brought together. I think she is helping me out just as much as I can help her out.

Nugget
We are so incredibly in love with our 4th dog, Nugget, that we adopted from you in July of 2012. He and his 3 much larger and older siblings are a very happy and healthy pack.
Of all the animals we have adopted, our experience with you was by far the most wonderful. It'll be a long while before we get another dog, but we spread the word about your amazing organization to everyone.
Thank you for all you do!

Sushi
We just wanted to send an update about Sushi, now that she has been with us for a little over a year. She has gained so much confidence and personality! She is so sweet and funny and we can't imagine our life without her!
Thank you for letting us make her a part of our family!

Lunar (now Assam)
His name was Lunar to you, but we did end up changing his name. Meet Assam, named after a favorite tea of ours, known "for its body, briskness, malty flavor, and strong, bright color." We felt it fit our puppy perfectly. :)
While we could do without his love of leaf-eating and gum-hunting, his favorite activities include fetching, long walks, making sure we're cooking good things in the kitchen, and curling up in our laps after a long day.
Hopefully we can continue to update you periodically as time goes on...if some of his siblings families are interested or curious, please feel free to share these photos/videos and our email address.
Lesli and Umang
**If any adopters of Assam's littermates would like to get in touch with Lesli and Umang, please send an email to adopters@homewardpet.org and I will pass the message along to them!**
