Ladybug
Just a quick update on our love affair with Ladybug. She is even sweeter than we first knew when we came to adopt her. Our family and friends have all taken to her like bees to honey. She is full of silliness and games. The first night she had her way with a roll of toilet paper that she stole from the bathroom while I was showering. For a little dog she sure can make a big impact (a.k.a. mess ). She's getting used to our kitty Moonlight (also adopted from Homeward) and is enjoying snuggling with the kids and taking rides to school. She is an exceptional little being and we feel very lucky to have her in our lives.
We simply could not be happier to give her a new home and to support all that you folks do to love and protect animals.

Patches
I was asked to send some photos of Patches in his new home. Here are his first couple of hours. He slept all the way home, calm fellow. He got to run and play pull. Thanks for the work you do.

Raider now Astro
I adopted Astro, formerly known as Raider, from Homeward Pets on May 2nd. I'd like you to know that Astro is the best dog I could ever have hoped to adopt. He is super well behaved, loving, playful, and is a great hiking buddy. Attached are a few pictures of him having fun at Dash Point.
Thanks,
Dave
Picasa now Fiona
Fiona is settling in just fine here! She's a very chatty kitty (which we love!) and has been so charming and affectionate! Now that she's getting to know us a little better, she's also been very playful. Between her and Olaf, they've managed to totally take apart a peacock feather I got for them. And here I thought it might last a little longer. Guess not! After a week, she and Olaf seemed to be getting along well enough for us to try leaving her out of her "refuge" room overnight. She promptly curled up in bed with us, and Olaf didn't seem to mind! The two of them are getting along better and better. Today I caught Olaf grooming her for the first time! Here's a video I posted on Facebook of that (you don't need a Facebook account to view it):

Odie Now Ziggy
Ziggy (Odie) is such a sweetheart and very well-behaved! The people at daycare were saying he was such a good dog :) Thank you so much!!

Alice (formerly Calypso)
Hi -
On May 26 we adopted Alice (formerly Calypso) from Homeward Pet, and I'm writing to tell you she is a total joy. We love her to death.
She's been sweet with the cat, practically crate trained herself, and has adjusted to our schedules with ease. She is a HAM, loves being busy, and confidently walks through the city and rides the bus.
She's still learning manners (we'll be taking a doggy class soon), but she's very sensitive to tone and listens to "drop", "leave it", and "down" even though we're not sure she knows those words yet.
Thanks to everyone there who encouraged us to consider adopting her, and helped us through the process. Alice is a perfect match for us.
Best,
Rebecca and Ann
Kitsune and Kismet (formerly Gobi and Snuffy)
Fast forward a few months. Kismet is still adorable. She's alternatively cuddly, demanding (especially for wet food and playtime), goofy, and tolerant. Kitsune has turned into a love bug. He loves snuggling up to us and being cuddled. The cats are still buddies, sometimes sleeping together, playing and grooming each other.
Thank you for taking such good care of them and allowing them to come live with us. It has been so much fun to get to know them, and see their personalities change and grow as they've gotten used to us and their home.
Sincerely,
Gretchen and David and Kismet and Kitsune
Duke (formerly Bismark)
Duke (formerly Bismark) has become a much loved family member. He and our other dog are best friends, playing and sleeping together. Duke has lots of energy and loves to go on long walks and has no trouble keeping up even though he is only 6 pounds! Thank you so much for all that you do!
Beaujangles
Hi! We adopted Beaujangles at the end of March right after I got back from an overseas deployment. He quickly became my husband's best friend until he left on deployment, and now he's mine. He follows me everywhere and is the perfect companion while my husband is away. He's cheerful and happy but not crazy energetic. He loves to sit in the sun, cuddle - especially if it's with a fleece blanket- and play fetch though he's still learning that he needs to bring the ball back. He happily sleeps in a soft bed near ours and goes all night (from the beginning!!) without needing out. He's been excellent around children and he already took his first flight and was quiet the whole time! (I didn't feel like kenneling him). I'm so grateful we found him as I have no idea what I would do in this house alone for 6 months. He's a very good little puppy and is doing great!! Thank you! - Rebecca and Branden
Ziggy and Stardust
Hello,
I wanted to send you some recent photos of Ziggy and Stardust, whom we adopted back in March. We now call them Gray Kitty and Orange Kitty, but they each have nicknames that change frequently.
They have both grown sooo much, especially Gray Kitty who is always hungry and finishes his food and starts in on Orange Kitty's food if we don't supervise. Gray Kitty is the softest, furriest, purriest most mellow kitty I've ever met. He loves everyone he meets. He loves being held. One of my nicknames for him is "Goo" or "Little Goo". I joke that he doesn't have any bones or muscles - he's just filled with goo. He's sweet and cute, but very clumsy. Orange Kitty, on the other hand, is the sleek, agile one. He jumps on things with incredible precision and focus. Gray Kitty will try to follow sometimes, but usually lands somewhere he didn't plan on. Orange Kitty has become quite a loving, cuddly lap kitty.
Thanks!
Queenie now Regina
I just thought you would like to know that Regina (formerly "Queenie") is doing very well in her reign here. She is such a sweet girl, everybody at the vet loves her. She's also good at entertaining guests!
She's quite fond of the grain-free diet I have her on and enjoys the Furminator as well. She is sitting in my lap as I type, and this is her usual place. I love her so much. All in all, she is a dream come true!
Thank you,
MJ
