Simba and Nala
We fostered Simba and Nala (brother and sister) for a week, but knew they were ours the day we took them home. Now 4 months old, they are bounding through the house and eating up a storm. They have settled in and now are growing quite quickly. They love to get us up for breakfast and snuggle with the family in the evening, bewteen frantic play sessions. They are both very affectionate and we couldn't be happier that they are part of the family.

Hugo!
Hi,
We adopted Hugo from Homeward Pet in October 2010. He is a 12lb Pomeranian and has been a delight for us as new pet owners. We have helped him overcome separation anxiety, socialized him with other humans and pets and are even beginning to train with him at dog agility classes. Thank you Homeward Pet for connecting us with this wonderful dog.

Gertie the Red Heeler
I adopted Gertie 4 years ago. She is the funniest, happiest, wiggliest, bundle of canine joy I have ever met. Heelers are a bit of a challenge but only because they are so incredibly smart and focused. Once I figured out her need for a schedule and a job she has been a perfect companion. Her jobs consist of "finding the cat" (who allows herself to be found but has drawn the line at being herded), fetching a toy, cleaning pans, keeping the kitchen floor spotless, and giving one, or at the most 2 barks, when a deer, squirrel, or dog enters the yard. Frisbee catching, car rides, and walks are her passion. She is not a lap dog and if there isn't a job for her to do in the house she insists on returning to her "post" in her garage/dog yard. I love my ACD.
