Trixi

I just wanted to thank you for bringing Trixi and me together. At first I wasn’t sure how we would adapt to each other, but she is such a loving, social dog and it has not been a problem at all. When I get home from work she greets me with bounding leaps of love and won’t settle down until I sit down and give her a few minutes of love. When I take her somewhere her manners are impeccable. My granddaughters adore her and can’t wait to see Trixi when they come visit. When I went away for the weekend, my son and daughter-in-law “puppy-sat” for me and fell in love with her too, so much in fact that I had to remind them that Trixi was coming home with me!

As you can see in the attached photo, Trixi has had a makeover, and she looks FABULOUS! She is a great addition to the family and I look forward to years of love and companionship from my little love. Thank you, Homeward Pet, for everything you do for these wonderful babies looking for their forever homes!

Maxie

Maxie is doing great! All potties have been outside, she loves to go on walks, she eats and sleeps well and she is busy exploring and getting comfortable with her new world. Here she is watching the World Cup with me.

Thank you Homeward Pet for letting us adopt Maxie. She is such a sweetheart and we are enjoying every minute with her.

Kiki

I just wanted to let you know that we absolutely LOVE Kiki! We brought her home about a month ago.

At first she was comfortable only with me, but within a day or so, my husband and teenage son could pet her.  Now she is happy and unafraid of most people! She wags her tail every time she sees any member of the family and greets us all with cuddles and kisses.

She and our other little dog, Cocoa, love each other and play constantly. It’s so fun to watch them race each other in circles around my coffee table.

Barkley (now Pete Rose)

Hi Homeward Pet Team -

Just wanted to send a quick hello from Pete Rose - formerly Barkley! He's doing great in his new home and learning quickly with the help of the trainer our adoption counselor suggested. We go running several times a week, play fetch, and try to catch waves in the sound. Life would be complete if only he could get that last lick of peanut butter out of the top of his Kong. I couldn't be happier with my new best friend.

THANK YOU!

Adidas (now Kemba)

We adopted our kitten Kemba (formerly known as Adidas) on July 20th, 2014.

Thank you for this wonderful addition to our family!

Gracie

I have had Gracie for a few months now and she is such a sweet girl. She made friends with my old blind doxie and he adores her. I am so glad we found her at the shelter.

As you can see from her pictures she loves to chill while I study or watch tv. She greets me with so much love when I get home from work. She is curious about the cats, but since she can't get to that side of the house she doesn't bother with them. She has fit in to my family perfectly.

Thank you for bringing us together.

Teagan (now Jack)

Teagan (now Jack) is doing great. Took him about a month to settle in, but now he's happy. Very affectionate and gets along with the dog, our other cat, and is my daughters best buddy!

Puck (now Beni)

Puck (now called Beni) is doing great. At the vet last Friday he weighed 5# and she said he is big for his age – will probably be a big cat. He and our dog adore each other. We feel like we won the lottery!

Thank you again for all of the hard work you do to give dogs and cats a better life.

Ravioli & Ziti

We absolutely love our kittens, Ziti and Ravioli. They have definitely adjusted to their new home.

The kittens are eating well, using the litter box, getting along with our dog, playing with all the new toys, and enjoying the kids playing with them. They are doing great and will be going to see the vet on the 22nd.

They made a perfect addition to our family.

Wags (now Eddie) & Milo

We are so happy with our two Homeward Pet alumni - Milo and Eddie (previously Wags). They are getting along so well! Milo is teaching Eddie, and Eddie learns so fast!

Sydney

I adopted a little black kitty named Sydney back in February. I just wanted to let you guys know that she is doing so well and becomes more and more comfortable everyday. She has become very attached to me and greets me every time I come home with a big meow! We have a routine for feeding and play in the morning and night and she makes sure I stick by it.

Recently she has gotten comfortable enough to cuddle by my head every night and likes to find little cozy spots in my arms. I got her a scratching post when I first got her and she didn't use it at first. But now she love it!

Bumblebee (now Howie)

Just an update on Howie (Bumblebee) who I adopted about a year ago. He is a fun happy little guy who is spoiled by my parents and is very well traveled. The defender of the back yard, and a neighborhood favorite when he goes for walks. I am thankful this little guy is part of the family.

Leo (now Gus)

Gus (aka Leo) came to us at the time when we needed him most. We had just lost our first dog together - Jazzy (who we had also adopted from Homeward Pet as well) due kidney failure, she never gave any signs of being sick until the very end. It hit us harder than I expected it to, and while dealing with our grief I checked on Homeward Pet website and found a picture of Gus.

My husband has always wanted a blue pitbull, so we decided to go and check out Gus the next day. He was perfect, and put the largest smile on our faces and made the sorrow of loosing Jazzy just a little more bearable. Since then we have gone on 3 hikes which he seems to enjoy, met all the neighbor children who he just wants to be loved by, and snuggled up on the couch to sit and relax. Gus has brought a lot of joy to our life when there could have been so much pain.

Thank you Homeward Pet for letting us be parents to such an amazing dog twice!
