Luigi

One smart cat!

Ginger (formerly Princess

We adopted very shy and apprehensive Princess (renamed Ginger) about 6 weeks ago. Will helped us, so be sure he sees her pictures. We have been to Brie’s 4 classes, and plan to continue. Ginger hid behind my chair for the first class. Her brother, the black & white dog, was in the class, so she enjoyed getting together with him. She relaxed a lot and had more confidence by the 4th class.

Ginger is still having trouble trusting my husband, Mark (maybe it’s the beard), but she is coming along. We do daily treat games with him. I think it will take a while, but we do see progress. She is generally very good, but very cautious, about meeting other people. Ginger is good in the car and hops right into her ‘safe place’ bed. At home, the crate gate is always open, but she stays inside it a lot. I think that will change.

I am attaching a few pictures of her at the dog park in Marymoor Park. Sunday was our first time there, and we were with another dog (my daughter’s and her husband’s dog). It took a few minutes to coax Ginger to get out of the car. The park was scary at first, then became cool, and by the time we got to the end, she wanted to play! Big steps for Ginger!

Continue the good rescue work!

Thanks.

Regards,

Rita

Teddy aka Canton

This is Teddy aka Canton. He is THE best! He is loved and shared by two families.  He is the happiest little guy.  He loves everyone and all dogs.  He is in training to live with Kitn and Kaboodle (two cats).  A work in progress for all.

Julius

Hi everybody, remember Julius? He is happy and taking control over the house. He is the boss and we know it. Thank you for the great kitty- we love him so much.

Gypsy

This is a Homeward rescue dog I got years ago. I fostered her straight off the van since there was no room at the old Clearwater place. No name, so I called her Gypsy. Here she is asleep on our sofa. What I like about the photo is the tangle of legs!

Salty (formerly Caroline)

Here is Salty looking relaxed. If you google I Want To Be Your Salty Dog, you'll see how we chose her name.

Thank you,
Ruth and Art (and Buddy who is very interested in being friends)

Cody

Thank you homeward pet for caring for me. My new mommy and daddy took me to meet my new vet and he says I am a healthy boy.

Mommy took me in the car today and I liked it. I also met mummy's three grandchildren. They were fun and didn't pull my tail.

Mommy and I have taken long walks and even went to Starbucks and Nordstrom. Everybody stopped to talk to mommy and me and they all thought I was a good boy, which I am.

Thank you for caring for me while I was at homeward pet.

I love my new home

Rajah & Whiskey

Hi,

Rajah is doing very well. She is such a sweetheart and is attached to my hip! She follows me everywhere! It took a few weeks before everyone got acclimated, we have 2 other dogs...Bella (Golden Retriever) and Whiskey (who we adopted from you a couple of years ago - a Hound/Lab mix). I can't imagine my life without these loves! Each is very unique and quirky traits that are so fun!

Thank you again for all that you do!!

Jeff, Jackie, Alec, Kaely, Whiskey, Bella, Rajah, Scribbles, Chloe, and Shadow (we have 3 adopted cats too)!

Whiskey loves to sun bathe!

Latte

We adopted Latte in March and we are in love!  There's a higher degree of laughter and joy in our home.  We are just completing obedience training where I have learned how to talk to my pup.  She's very well behaved and even learning to co-exist with our big kitty.  Thank you for all that you do for the animals and for the new families.  You were very particular in placing Latte and we appreciate it.

Toby and Ben

Two of my cats, adopted from fostering...
Thanks,
Tami

Tank/Jazzy pictures. :)

The short hair is her summer cut because she was getting super overheated with all that long fur.  She likes to pull the stuffing out of toys and then look guilty when we find out, and her favorite thing to clack her teeth at us and sass us if we don't give her enough cuddles.

Darwin is AMAZING:-D

Here is Darwin and his partner in crime crashing Barney after 2.5 hours of constant playing.....I'm not kidding....these two are cut from the same cloth. Awesome!! What a gift and I get to experience everyday...thank you some much for this gem of a puppy. I will be forever grateful!! <3

Calvin and Finnegan

Greetings!
I have been a volunteer at Homeward for 5 years walking dogs each glorious or godforsaken Friday.  I started to volunteer because I was in serious need of some animal companionship after having to put down my cat companion of 20 years, but not quite ready to be an owner again. I lasted well into my second year before succumbing to two, three year old tabby brothers Calvin (brown tabby) and Finnegan (grey tabby) They had been at another shelter for quite some time before they were transferred to Homeward and definitely needed to be adopted together. They have been a perfect fit for our house. They are the best mix of snuggling, funny and athletic and the very first animals I have ever owned that actually like, no, LOVE to go to the vet.
I have some nice serious photos too, but these better encompass our daily experience.
Thanks again Homeward!

Anderson

Anderson is doing well, he has made himself at home. He's a very lovable pup, gets excited to go on walks and loves scratches. He's very popular and a great snuggler. We're having a really good time with Brie at Doggy Haven, he's very smart and learns quickly. He does get excited and likes to jump, but he is getting much better. Anderson hasn't gotten the hang of fetch yet, but he loves when we chase him while he has the ball in his mouth.

We'll try to stop by in the next few weeks and bring him for a visit!

Thanks,
Stacy

Augie (formerly Doc)

Hi,

We adopted Doc on April 14th, and just to let you know that he is doing fine.  His name was changed to Augie, and he is a mellow calm guy.  He and our chocolate lab are becoming good companions, and sometimes playmates.

Thanks for bringing him to us.

Emmy

Just want to say thank you for helping us adopt Emmy two weeks ago. She has done very well adjusting to her new life here, and is very affectionate and chatty. She loves to sit on my lap and greet us by rolling over so we can stroke her belly. My husband and children also love her very much. Here's a picture of her relaxing in our kitchen and on her favorite seat in the living room.

Thanks again!

Helen

Ohana (formerly known as Ringo)

I just wanted to give you a quick update on Ohana. As you can see he has become quite comfortable in his new home. He has adjusted very quickly and is such a good kitty. He just loves affection and gets lots if it from my husband and I.

He even enjoyed playing with our 4 year old granddaughter and, of course, she loved having a cat in the house.

Ohana is a very special addition to our home. And I think he is happy here, judging from his very loud purrs:)

Hello from Marshal Wampuss!

Hello again!
Just a quick note to tell you I'm still doing great!  My bipeds are nearly perfectly trained (after about 2 years) now and as long as I remember that my sister Lucy Fur is in charge, everything goes smoothly.
Much love,
Marshal Wampuss

Annie

I'm a volunteer with the cats at the shelter and a coworker of mine, Jillian, adopted Annie a few weeks ago. She's doing very well and is now called Pumpkin Spice. She loves to snuggle, be brushed, and purrs a lot! She's really enjoying being a pampered indoor-only kitty.

Here are a couple of pictures of her in her forever home.

My Little Gracie

Gracie is the best little doggie- is so well behaved and has a wonderful disposition. She is such a blessing and has added so much delight to our home. Our granddaughters adore her as much as she adores them.

Homeward Pets is a wonderful shelter. Will was so helpful in the adoption process. Gracie is a perfect fit for us. We are so happy that she picked us to adopt her. We cannot imagine our life without her.

Thank you so much for all of your follow-up and great tips.

Jazz (formerly Goggles) and Star (formerly Peanut)

Hi Homeward Pet!

We just wanted to let you know that we love our kitty cats so much! We adopted them from Homeward Pet on October 13, 2012. Jazz (formerly Goggles) and Star (formerly Peanut) have fit so nicely into our family. They continue to be a wonderful combination of playful and cuddly! They love each other completely and each of us too! Our Woodinville home is now complete! We thank you all so much for taking care of them and for letting us adopt them.

Much thanks,
Jeff, Lesley, Landon, Larissa, Lydia, and Logan

Carter

Hi Laurel,
I hope you're enjoying the weather!  Carter continues to do well and he's pretty much a member of the family at this point.  He remains skittish but is affectionate most of the time.  He likes to be around us even if that means sitting under the coffee table where he's "protected" and he & Oliver spend most days chasing each other happily.  Attached is a picture to prove how brave he has become-- and also to show off how handsome he is.
Thanks,
Kevin

Penny the Dachshund

Hi Claire!
Thanks so much for your assistance with adopting Penny. She has come along in leaps n bounds since we brought her home. Lipps and her play and sleep together and have been getting exceptionally well.
She's eating well and loves the food we have. She is also very fond of sleeping in our bed.
Thanks again.
Aysha & Don

Kira (formerly Greta)

Kira is doing wonderful!  She is in heaven with the kitty toy box, and runs around all day with Bella, my Himalayan, playing and having fun and being crazy kitties.  They really did a great job integrating pretty quickly with only one hiss in the first few days. J  They both sleep on the bed, and Kira likes to sleep on my pillow J
