Chumina :D

Chumina wants to say "HI" she is a sweet and happy dog. I make a good decision with her, thank you guys!!

Sophie (formerly Sissy)

We adopted Sissy ( her name is now Sophie) in November.  While our household is getting used to all the “puppy energy” she brings, she has quickly become part of our family.  Our cats arent’ too pleased with her, but we’re working on that.  I also want to thank you for including  a start at puppy training with the adoption..it is so valuable, we also met her brother at puppy training.

Thank you!

Keno, our loving terrier

Dear Homeward Pet Rescue,
Ten years ago we adopted an amazing, wonderful, loving little dog named Keno from your organization. We couldn't have asked for a better dog. He has been a companion to us and our family and the alpha dog of our little pack of stray dogs that grew from one dog to six over the years. He loved the dog park and the wind in his face and to cuddle at night with his favorite Pug.

Sadly, yesterday, he had a massive seizure and passed away in my husband's arms on our way to the vet.
We just wanted to say thank you for bringing him into our lives and to let you know we will never forget how happy he was to come home with us that wonderful day and how happy we were to be his forever family.

Sincerely,
Monica and Brian

Dixie

Happy New Year!

We adopted Dixie in November and I was hoping to send some pictures earlier but with the chaos of the holidays, time just got away from me. Dixie is doing really well and seems to be enjoying her new home. She charms most of those she meets and hopes to calm her jumping impulse very soon (ok that might be my wish). :)

Pork Chop

Hi Claire,

Zoey (previously Pork Chop )  is doing great. She's been coming to work everyday with me and getting socialized well, which was the only issue we ran into when I first adopted her. She's certainly become my little troublemaker.

Thanks,

Natalia

Lizzie is wonderful and doing great!

Hi, Happy New Year!  Writing to tell you that the female cat Lizzie we adopted from you is doing so well and quickly became a loveable and energetic member of our family.  She was our 4 yr old daughter's Christmas wish come true.  Lizzie is now named Lizzie- Bella as our daughter had to have a cat named Bella.  Lizzie-Bella has a favorite windowsill looking out on the back yard and enjoys her many toys too.  She enjoys being around our family and encouraging play.

Thanks again,

Maureen and Family

Lotto (AKA Lovey)

My husband, Zach, and I adopted "Lovey" from woodinville Homeward Pet shelter over two years ago! We LOVE him and renamed him Lotto. The name lovey didn't fit after our initial meeting when he sliced my husbands hand clean open (he was a little overwhelmed in his new home). We feel we won the lottery when we got Lotto. I had recently lost a very loved cat and Lotto just came to us.
We intended to look at dogs at the shelter and some how or another we found him. My husband found him and I was not at all sold. Five minutes after bringing him home he became my baby. He still prefers Zach's cuddles to mine but knows who feeds him! Lotto has three dog brothers; they all love each other. Lotto plays some pretty funny games with the boys and definitely rules the roost. He is the boss of our big Rottweiler and he and our chihuahua cuddle together at night. I think he just tolerates our weiner dog! Haha.

Greyson

We just love Greyson! He's a wonderful dog.

Happy Holidays.

Lily

Our Friends at Homeward Pet,
Lily has been with us for almost 7 weeks and she has adapted to her new home and our lifestyle very well. Jim, our Homeward Pet counselor, did an outstanding job in assisting us during the selection/adoption process. He felt she, a senior dog, was the best fit of the dogs we looked at and he was definitely spot on. Since we are senior citizens, it was refreshing to have a dog enter our lives requiring almost no training.
Thanks again to Homeward Pet Adoption Center and staff,
Bob and Joy

Peeta

Pita, one of our adopted terrier mixes, is now a service dog for a retired veteran and bff’s with a mini pony.

Callie and Hobbes

Callie (right) and Hobbes (left) share a moment together atop the giant cat tree. They are such great companions and get along so well. They are very entertaining too and make me laugh with their antics. Plus they are pretty cute.

Update from Cai (Ike)

Hello!

I just wanted to give y'all an update on Cai. His name was Ike when I bought him from you guys in March 2012 as a rescue. Cai is a fun, loving animal that loves his Dad and family. He is a happy, healthy doggie and he now has a brother named Tex, a chi-terrier mixture that looks out for him daily and keeps him company. He has regular checkups at Banfield, is updated on his shots/heartworm medicine, and has already had his teeth cleaned. I bathe him and trim his nails every few weeks and brush his teeth quite often.

We live in Austin, TX now (just moved from Seattle last month) and Cai loves going to dog parks here, as well as the Tex-Mex dog-friendly restaurants, riding in the car, listening to country music, chewing on raw bones, and sleeping on the couch in his dog bed. He especially loves burrowing below covers at night and sleeps on his back like a human. He is a barking protector sometimes and is always alert but well-behaved for the most part, a true Southern gentleman like his Dad. He also makes funny grunty noises when he is content, which is most of the time. ;) He is seen above in his Halloween costume. He was a penguin this year. I am thankful for this dog everyday and appreciate y'all for staying touch!

Thank you!

Eric (Dad)

Ps. Cai's full name is Sir Caius Rontu Fox

Zoey and Lily

Dear Homeward Pet Adoption Center,

My husband and I adopted two cats from you back in April, just two months after we got married and moved into a new house together.  I grew up with a cat that passed away when I was in college in 2001, so I had been looking forward to eventually adopting another one for quite a while.  My husband was excited to add to our little family as well.  While we had initially planned to adopt a single cat, we couldn’t resist the 1 year old sisters, Zoey and Lily.  They were such a sweet pair and we absolutely fell in love with them.  Zoey and Lily have been such a blessing and a joy in our lives (we thought their names suited them perfectly and opted not to change them).

The exotically striped tabby sisters are endlessly playful and love to carry their little toy mice with them while running throughout the house.   Zoey is more vocal than Lily and will often “talk” to us in her low-pitched, purry meow.  Lily is a quieter girl with a higher-pitched, squeaky meow that we usually only hear while she’s playing.  Both cats enjoy curling up on the couch and sleeping with us on our bed at night.  They are at their most adorable when they curl up and snuggle with each other.

We absolutely love our little fur babies and we can’t thank you enough for keeping them safe and sound while they waited for their forever home with us!

Missie (AKA Papaya)

I am so thankful for my new roommate from Homeward Pets! I adopted Papaya (new name is now Missie) the end of May and love this companion! She brings entertainment and so much more into my life...

Blessings to each of you!

Finn

Hello Homeward Pet!

I recently adopted Finn, an incredibly adorable, loving Westiepoo. The website listed him as a hilarious little dog, and he really is! He is constantly showering everyone at home with love and makes us laugh all the time with his big personality. He has been getting along with my other dog, Sawyer, a rambunctious Shiba Inu. Finn has been doing a good job keeping Sawyer company when I am at work.

Thank you so much for being such a great shelter and for taking care of Finn before he found me! J

Gabby (Formerly Autumn)

In early October, I adopted Gabby (Autumn) from Homeward and it was love at first site.  Gabby is the second kitty that my husband and I adopted from Homeward after adopting Eddie (Formerly known as Phantom in August 2010).  Gabby was slightly frail which is to be expected since she was underweight and was rescued from a hoarder.

After a few visits to the vet, Gabby's upper respiratory infection cleared up in no time.  We switched her food to a high quality, high protein diet and she has the most beautiful, soft coat.

Gabby is truly one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats that I have ever met.  She loves to cuddle with us and her brothers.  She is all personality and she has never met a toy that she didn't like. We love her with all of our heart and thank you again for bringing Eddie and Gabby into our lives.

Happy New Year!!
Loves,
Jenn and Sean

Oliver

Good Morning,
I wanted to let you know that Oliver as he was known at the shelter is doing well in his new home. He is a welcomed addition to our family. He is the most energetic kitten and he keeps me busy! He is so loving and so friendly and I am so happy that I found him through your organization. He goes by "Lewis" now.
So here's LEWIS!!!!!!

Regards,
Sarah

Lily

Lily loves coming to school and playing with the children.  At our holiday celebration she was Santa Paws!!
Thank you again for introducing me to Lily; she has been a true JOY.
Mary

Nala

I adopted this dear girl October 2012.  Her birth certificate says 12 years old, but she's far from retired!  Well, not entirely true:  she does "couch potato" supremely well.  On a walk, though, she's prances at a pace that's nicely challenging for this human!  Whether it's two, three or five miles, her energy is remarkable!  Clearly doesn't know she's elderly! She and I have a delightful love affair!  I'm absolutely thrilled to have her in my life.

Thank you, again, to Homeward Pets dedicated staff and volunteers who've made our adoption possible.

With love,
Nala and Mom

Sally

Dear Homeward Pet,

Thank you SO much for letting us adopt Sally this year. We feel like she was meant to be our dog all along and we absolutely couldn't imagine life without her.

Thanks and Happy New Year!
Sarah and Rob

Woodrow

Woodrow is very content in his new job position.  We have given him the title, office asst.

Joey (formerly Clive)

I wanted to send a couple pictures and let you know how well Clive now Joey is doing.   First I want to thank you for the excellant advice you gave me on introducing Joey to my resident cat Stella.  Joey spent his first two weeks here in the den.  He hid a lot but slowly started coming out to eat while I was in the room and bond with me and play.

His first introductions with Stella were thru a mostly closed door.   He slowly started coming out into the rest of my home and eventually wanted out all the time.  He and Stella were soon sniffing noses, sleeping on the same bed and chasing each other up and down the hall.  The play sometimes gets rough but they seem very well matched, no one is more aggressive than the other.

I know that Stella is happy to have a pal around and Joey seems very content.   He is adorable and has a great personality.  He talks all the time.

Thanks again for all the help I received from the Homeward Pet staff and all that you do for these wonderful animals.  This looks like a very sucessful adoption!
