Carson (AKA Trevor)

Dear Homeward Pet,  Here are two pictures of Carson (previously Trevor).  The first one is Carson with our grandson Tyler and the second is of Carson with his adoptive grandparents.  He has changed our lives and we can't imagine being without him.  When we adopted him we were told that he had "handling issues" and we didn't even know what that meant, but we soon found out.  Carson has learned to stop "mouthing" us but it is still occasionally a challenge.  He is totally potty trained and we installed a "doggy door".  He loves everyone and all other dogs.  He has made friends with everyone in our condo complex and at our nearby dog parks.  Thank you so much for facilitating our adoption.  Carson is a wonderful addition to our family.

FROM AMBER

“Miss. Millie is the love of my life! For more than 30-years I have considered myself a “cat” person, so I

was truly blessed when little Miss. Millie walked into my life on Saturday, May 26th. I took her for a walk

and completely fell in love with her. My faithful companion, she travels with me pretty much

everywhere including the office where she’s made new “fans”… not just friends, but FANS! I’ve attached

lots of pics from our recent adventures to the Oregon Coast and to George, WA. Now, we are headed to

dog training with Brie Fox to work on enhancing our social skills. Thank you to our dear friends at

Homeward Pet. We absolutely love and adore all of you!”

FROM MISS. MILLIE

I love my human mama Amber. I think I bring her balance and exercise and happiness and joy. She takes

me to all sorts of new places, and together, we also sample life’s buffet. Speaking of buffet, I even tried

Panda Express Orange Chicken and a bit of a pot sticker when my human mama Amber celebrated her

birthday recently. One word: YUMMY! But mostly I just drink water and eat my doggy food, and enjoy

my pink Kong filled with Jiffy peanut butter! Double yum! Even though I am enrolled in “Feisty Fido”

classes, I prefer to think of myself as “spirited” rather than “feisty”. Life is wonderful and I am grateful

that my human mama is also a volunteer at Homeward Pet because we would never have met

otherwise.  Slurpy wet kisses to all of my friends at Homeward Pet!” XO, Miss. Millie

Faith

Faith is great!  She hasn’t barked and is very cuddly.  She even made it through the night in her crate with no problems.  She has lots of toys and there haven’t been any issues with chewing or potty incidences.

Yesterday, she slept all day and night and today was the first day, she really had an appetite, so overall she is a great fit for us.  I’m really glad we chose her.

Thanks for your help!

Bilbo (AKA Cracker)

Bilbo is so sweet - he's a purring machine.  He loves everyone. Here are some pictures of Cracker (who is now Bilbo -- Bilbo Bagby) and Emma napping together.  We think they will be friends for life.

Thank you!

Dos (now known as Finn) the Kitten

Just wanted you to know that Finn (Dos) is doing just fine and we couldn't be happier with the little guy.  He checked out a-okay at his appt. with Dr. Kovar, is eating and sleeping well, growing in his physical abilities and confidence every day and has found several favorite napping spots around the house, including whatever lap is nearest.

Thank you for taking such good care of him 'til we were able to bring him home!

Bilbo

Just wanted to let you know how well Bilbo has settled into our family.  He adores Emma and Laura and follows them wherever they go in the house.  He is now eating well and gets very excited at meal time!  He loves having a bath and riding in the car.  He hates loud noises, especially fireworks and thunder - both of which he got to experience with us the first week!  Poor guy!  Bilbo got a clean bill of health from the vet and the fatty lump on his tummy has almost gone.  We have been slowly increasing the length of his walks - his favorite is along the horse  trail by our house.
Thank you so much for taking care of Bilbo and giving him a chance to find another family to love and care for him.    I have recommended Homeward Pet to friends as a great place to find a family pet.  With thanks for our great dog!

Dot and Thor

I want to let you know that Molly (formerly Dot) and Buddy (formerly Thor) have settled comfortably into our household.

For the first six nights, they curled up together under the console TV and we didn't hear a peep out of them until morning.  We thought we had it made; our babies were sleeping through the night!  And on the seventh night, the rest (for us) ended!

Now they come bounding in at all hours, walking all over the bed, and us!  They have entered "The Terrible Twos" (2-weeks with us, that is).  And we are loving every minute of it!

We took them to our vet for a checkup.  He was sorry to report that he could not detect a heartbeat, because they were purring so loudly!  They were given a clean bill of health.  While we were chatting with the dr., they hopped onto a chair and promptly went to sleep (still purring)!  They are so sweet ...even the vet was smitten!

Please let their foster mom know what a wonderful job she did in caring for these kitties!

I am attaching a couple of photos.  We are like all new parents, always having a camera at the ready!

Thank you,

Helen & Don

Annie

Hi!  We adopted Annie the 4 year-old Australian cattle, and just wanted to let you know that she is doing very well.

She has been a wonderful addition to our family of 2 boys (7 and 9), and our cat Mr. Fuzz.

Annie is very sweet with everyone she meets, and very well behaved in the house.  She even stays away from the cat, much to his delight!

Rob (Dad) takes her walking every morning to help her lose weight; and she is on a very strict, healthy diet of fancy dog food that Meg (Mom) buys her.

The vet gave her a clean bill of health last week, and she loves it when she gets brushed.  All the kids in the neighborhood seem to love her, and all-in-all she has settled in and adjusted very well to her new life.  I think her happiness level is well expressed by her constantly wagging tail.

Last of all, we'd like to thank all the staff at Homeward Pet for providing us with the most amazing adoption experience.

We love your organization, what it does, what it stands for, and the quality of the volunteers there.

Big hello and thanks in particular to Erin, Jim and Brooke who were all very attentive in helping us find our special Annie!
