Willa Update

Hi.

We loved the experience at your shelter!  Amazing difference in care and comfort for the pets compared to other shelters.

Willa is doing fine, and fit right in right away!  She met her vet, and other than subluxing knees that may or may not ever be an issue, she is fit.  I have to be careful she does not get out the front door, because she is hard to catch!  I have to get in the car and drive up to her, even if she is 30 feet away, she will only come with a promise of a car ride!  Stinker!!  I am hoping this changes with time.

As you can see, she and my son are living in harmony with each other, and she is a great companion for out dog, Captain Rex.  He is no longer lonely or sad.  The difference in him is noticeable!

Thank you for all you do.  As soon as my son is old enough, he will be your favorite volunteer!

Our new kitty

Hi,

I am sending you an update on our kitty. We got Willow from you last month and he has been the pecfect fit for our family.  I have three children and they REALLY love him. We have a 20 year old cat and 2 year old dog but, Willow is the love of the house.  Even our dog loves him. He is so mellow. I have never seen a cat so good with children. They fight over who gets to hold him next as soon as they get home from school.  Willow has seen our vet and is all up-to-date. Thank you so much for the best kitty ever.

DonnerBear

It has been 11 months since I adopted Donner from Homeward Pet and I wanted to thank you for letting me have him.  I call him DonnerBear since he has such a handsome bear face.

He is without question my best friend and is beyond reproach as a loving and playful boy as well as a social butterfly.  Thank you again for making it possible to have this boy in my life.

Attached are  a couple of recent pictures of DonnerBear.  Isn't he a hunk?

Thanks,

George

Thank you from Bob, the cat!

Hi Homeward,

Here’s a picture of me on my new bed with a view of Elliott Bay.  I think I’m going to like being a city cat.

My fuzzy kids

It's amazing that over a year has past since I had to put my old cat Spice to sleep. I lasted two days before talking a coworker into coming with me to Homeward to look at the kittens and cats, so when I was ready I'd have an idea of what was available. Silly me. I came home with Toby, Cleo (formerly Ophelia) and Nicholas (formerly Sinatra). I'm their favorite hot water bottle and toy although they do seem to have quite a few other toys as well. They helped make me feel better, though I still miss my old girl too. Here is a picture of the three of them, usually one of them is missing from the picture as they all move quite fast.

Thanks for the chance to have three great kids of the fuzzy kind.

Bob's relaxing Sunday evening...

Just wanted to email you a quick note to say that Bob is adjusting
quickly to his new environment. It only took him 30 minutes to come out
from under the bed to enjoy some human comfort last night. He really
likes his "Scratch Lounge," too. Today, he has been exploring the rest
of our condo, playing with toys and taking naps in between all the
excitement. He's a gem.

Horton E. Katt & Miss Priscilla Katt

Well, our lives are ever so busy but we never forget Homeward Pet and
hope that everyone there finds a good home.   Here is an update on our
darling Horton & Miss Priss.

We adopted both Horton & Priscilla and have never looked back!

They have brought us so much joy and entertainment - its truly hard to
imagine life without them.  They are, as siblings are, each other's best
friend and then enemy.  They chase each other both inside and outside,
they seek out birds, mice, butterflies and are totally enthralled with
our neighbourhood squirrel *Sammy*.  Never a dull moment in our
backyard...

I recently had neurosurgery and when I came home my babies cuddled right
up to my neck & head to keep me warm and were so gentle.  We all slept
really well and peacefully.  Animals can sense and do know and
understand!  They are my pride and joy!!!

Its hard to imagine that they have been in our life for 2 and a half
years and time has certainly happily flown by.  We hope that all the
wonderful pets at Homeward Pet find a good home and are as loved and
spoiled as much as Horton and Priscilla.  Thank you Homeward Pet for
being there!

Sincerely,

Ken & Krystine

The Avner's new kittens

Dear friends at Homeward Pet,

I've attached pictures of our little bundles of joy we picked up from you one month ago. Formerly Leisel & Tasha, we have renamed them Cleopatra and Andromeda (Cleo and Andi for short). We are so thrilled with them, and they have adjusted very well to their new home. They run and play and love to drop their toys in their water bowls. Since these pictures, we have relocated our fishbowl out of reach.

We can't imagine our lives without these little gals and I thank you for all you do for all the sweet creatures out there. Your task is difficult and I'm grateful for you, and for Cleo & Andi.

Sincerely, Tanya

Mikey update

Hi,

Well we have had Mikey for almost two years now and it is like we have had him forever.  He is such a beloved little man that he makes my heart swell everytime I look at him.

His recent news is that he was accepted into a heart study for treatment of congestive heart failure.  His murmur is still quite slight so they were happy to enroll him.  It is a 4 year study so he will be an old man of 16 when it is complete.

I've enclosed some pictures to show you our happy little guy.
